About Us
From the Army to the FBI to Colt Investigations

My journey into investigations began more than three decades ago as an enlisted infantry soldier in the U.S. Army. I served on active duty, deploying twice during my military career. Active-duty service taught me the importance of discipline, preparation, attention to detail, and performing under pressure when others are counting on you.

After completing my active-duty service, I continued serving my country in the Virginia Army National Guard while beginning the next chapter of my career in intelligence and investigations.

That path eventually led me to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where I worked across a wide range of criminal and national-security threats. Although counterterrorism and intelligence became a significant focus of my career, my experience extended well beyond that mission. I worked on investigations involving numerous types of threats and developed extensive experience collecting and analyzing information, conducting investigations, developing leads, identifying connections, and turning information into actionable intelligence. I also served as an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Team Leader and Instructor.

Throughout both my military and FBI careers, I learned a simple lesson: the details matter. Good investigations require patience, sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to separate facts from assumptions.

After retiring from the FBI, I decided to take that experience in a new direction and founded Colt Investigations. My goal is to provide individuals, attorneys, and businesses with the same professionalism, discretion, thoroughness, and attention to detail that defined my career in military and federal service.

Colt Investigations was built on a career dedicated to finding the facts. We bring that experience to every case we accept.
